Arranging a funeral

At a time of bereavement, arranging a funeral can seem a daunting challenge.

As professional funeral advisors, our role is to organise all aspects of the funeral on your behalf and ensure a seamless, efficient and burden-free service is provided at such a difficult time for you.

In the first instance we will meet with the family of the deceased to discuss requirements. This will normally cover planning the following;

  • Collection and preparation of the deceased.
  • Choice of burial or cremation.
  • Liaising with clergy, churches, cemeteries, crematoria, as required.
There are a number of services involved in a funeral which the Funeral Director will arrange and pay for in advance on behalf of the family. These are known as disbursements and typically include;
  • Church and Clergy offerings, including Sacristan, Parish Clerk or Church Sextant
  • Grave opening, grave-diggers and grave purchase fees (if required)
  • Musicians and singers
  • Flowers and wreaths
  • Funeral announcements – radio, newspaper, RIP.ie
  • Crematorium charges and cremation fees
  • Catering costs (if requested)
  • Coroner or Doctor fees e.g. death certificate
  • Additional services as required or requested
Following a funeral we can also assist with arranging the following;
  • Memorial cards
  • RIP condolence books
  • Headstone selection and installation
  • Grave maintenance
  • Remembrance notices for newspapers, radio and RIP.ie
It is our role to ensure the funeral is planned and carried out according to your wishes and the wishes of the deceased.
